Information you provide

We process sign-in identity, your chosen Builder profile, Product and opportunity submissions, media, domain-verification evidence, messages, reviews, reports, and information you choose to share through a waitlist or enquiry.

Information generated through use

Showcase records account and Product actions needed for operation, security, abuse prevention, moderation, billing, notifications, and audit. Product Analytics is separate from the public directory: raw events, paths, campaign tags, and private dashboards are not published as public Traction.

Public and private visibility

Published Product, Builder, Event, Gig, Hackathon, News, Sale, and Auction information can be viewed by visitors. Private drafts, account settings, direct messages, waitlist leads, payment records, and private Analytics require appropriate authorization. A Builder controls whether eligible aggregate Traction is disclosed publicly.

Launches, waitlists, and community

Following a launch is private. Joining a waitlist requires an explicit choice to share the stated fields with that Product owner. We record consent and withdrawal so access and exports can be limited to the intended recipient. Community participation and public reviews have separate visibility from a private follow.

Payments and provider evidence

We keep orders, provider references, webhook results, entitlement state, and reconciliation records needed for plans, paid Events, Amplify, and Support. Payment providers handle card or bank credentials. Connected Revenue providers supply Product-scoped evidence under the Builder’s chosen disclosure settings; Showcase does not treat an unverified claim as provider evidence.

Safety and moderation

Reports, moderation decisions, appeals, and audit records are restricted to authorized staff and are used to investigate abuse, protect participants, and maintain an accountable history of sensitive actions.

Service providers and external content

We use providers for authentication, hosting, media, abuse protection, payments, and optional avatars. External Product websites and payment pages have their own practices. The separate Cookie and device storage policy names the storage used by Showcase and the consent-based Analytics script that Builders can install on their own sites.

Retention, export, and deletion

Retention depends on the record’s purpose, including safety, payment, and audit obligations. You can request an account export or deletion in Workspace Privacy. Deletion has a 14-day recovery window before the scheduled purge. Some pseudonymous transaction or audit records and information already shared with an independent Product owner may require separate handling.
